"I was surprised by how many appointment..."
I was surprised by how many appointment times were available :) I found one after work that fit my schedule and didn’t have to wait weeks, which was such a relief. Booking was super easy too!! It really helped since I needed to talk to someone soon

"Licensure info was a bit confusing"
Not gonna lie, I was still kind of unsure which licensure steps actually applied to my state after reading through the info

"Certificate showed up Right on Time"
I finished my course and the certificate came through fast. Didn't have to chase support or sit around waiting forever, which was really nice.

"For me, the CE stuff was kind..."
For me, the CE stuff was kind of not a lot, especially for what it costs. I was expecting more options, I guess, so it ended up feeling a bit thin and not super worth it.

"I mostly used counseling.org to look up information..."
I mostly used counseling.org to look up information, and the emails were okay. Helpful, sometimes. A few links actually gave me what I needed, but others felt general and didn’t really answer my specific question. Meh. The response time was decent though, so that was a plus. Overall, not a bad experience, I just wish the email replies had been a little more specific.

"I had good experience with counseling.org when..."
I had good experience with counseling.org when I needed advocacy representation. I wasn’t really sure what to expect at first, but it ended up being way less stressful than I thought.

They explained things in simple words and didn’t make me feel brushed off or confused. It felt like someone was actually on my side and knew the right steps to take.

It wasn’t perfect perfect, and there were a couple small things that could have been smoother, but overall it was really helpful. I’d still give it 5 stars.

"Quieter Than I Expected"
The community felt quiet to me, especially compared to other groups I’ve been in where people are constantly sharing, replying, and making connections. There wasn’t much real networking happening, so it didn’t feel as active or useful as I hoped.

"Felt reassuring before I reached out"
I ended up giving it 5 stars mostly because the credential info was easy to find and actually felt trustworthy. Like, before I even think about contacting a counselor, I want to know who they are, what their background is, and the licensing details, maybe I’m overthinking, but that stuff matters. The site itself is simple, nothing flashy, but in a way that worked for me. I didn’t have to click around forever to figure out whether the person seemed legit. That made me feel a lot more comfortable about taking the next step.

They checked my insurance for me and the billing is all clear, so I wasn’t getting any weird surprises later. it was way less stressful than I thought it will be

Finding a good time was harder than I expected. Nothing really lined up easily. It worked out in the end, but the scheduling part was kind of frustrating...

"Helpful job board worth coming back to"
I mainly used counseling.org to check out the job board, and it actually helped me find a few solid openings. The search feature could be a little smoother, but overall it was easy enough to use and worth the time. I’d definitely check it again the next time I’m looking around for new opportunities

"i ordered a couple of publications and..."
i ordered a couple of publications and they arrived exactly when they said they would. no chasing anyone up or dealing with random delays, so i’m happy with the whole experience.

"Canceling ended up being more of…"
Canceling ended up being more of a hassle than I thought it would be. After the first session didn’t really work for me, I reached out to ask about getting a refund, but the replies were slow and not super clear. I did eventually get part of my money back, but the whole process felt more dragged out than it needed to be. it left me feeling disappointed overall.

"Found a counselor who really fits"
I signed up sometime last month, or maybe it was the end of the month before, I don’t remember exactly. But I was matched with a counselor who actually seems to fit what I was looking for. It didn’t feel like some random pick, and talking with her has been easy so far.

"Bad Timing to Deal With a Clunky Site"
I ended up using the site when I was already short on time, which made the whole thing even more frustrating. It felt clunky, and just trying to find basic information took way longer than it should have. Not exactly what you want when you need quick answers.

"Ethics info was hard to follow"
I went to counseling.org hoping to get some clear guidance on ethics, but it was confusing to work through. There were a few useful parts, but a lot of the wording left me with more questions than answers. It might be better if you already work in the field, but as a regular reader, it wasn’t helpful for me

"Actually felt seen for once"
I’ve had a really good experience with counseling.org, and I don’t say that lightly because so many sites claim to be welcoming but then make you feel like an afterthought.
What stood out to me was that their focus on diversity and inclusion actually comes through in the way the site feels. The information is easy to find, and it doesn’t seem like it was built for only one specific type of person, which is sadly not as common as it should be.

Overall, I felt respected, comfortable, and not judged while using it. It was refreshing, honestly. 5 stars from me.

"Honestly, such a relief"
My counselor was so professional and genuinely easy to talk to. I was a little nervous at first, but they made the whole thing feel way less overwhelming, like a massive weight off my shoulders.

"Helpful resource I keep coming back to"
I’ve used counseling.org a handful of times when I’m trying to make sense of something or look for quick guidance, and I’ve started to notice it’s usually reliable for the same reasons: the articles are clear, organized, and not overly simplified. I like being able to spot the main points without digging through a ton of complicated language. It’s become one of those sites I check when I want a practical starting point.

"Slow replies and copy-paste support"
I used counseling.org when I was trying to find help in my area, and I had a simple question about locating someone nearby. The site itself was fine to use, nothing amazing but not terrible either.

The frustrating part was customer support. It took way too long to hear back, and when they finally responded, it felt like a copy-paste reply that didn’t really answer what I asked. I had to message them again just to explain the same thing.

It wasn’t the worst experience overall, but when you’re looking for counseling resources, waiting around for basic support is really annoying. I expected a quicker and more helpful response.
